This Rhone is the real deal and a sensational value!
Could easily be confused for a Chateauneuf do Pape. Floral notes accent fresh mixed berries in this 2020 Cotes du Rhone Villages that is made from Old Vine Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre. The Syrah dominates and leads to a full-bodied wine but with silky tannins. It has a slight pepperiness to add some dimension and complexity. This wine is produced by the third generation on this estate and it is a fruit driven Cotes du Rhone with great roundness and complexity.
Grenache is also a great grape for Thanksgiving!

This 2019 Shiraz from Greenock Creek is a dark, brooding, concentrated, savory Shiraz, punctuated by notes of resin, molasses, licorice, aniseed, dark chocolate and black tea. This is best drunk within the decade—to capture some of the fruit while it is lively, I should think.
