So what is going on in all these pictures!
Some exciting Ben Holladay news!!!
In the top picture. The bottle on the left: we got a signed bottle from Kyle Merklein, the master distiller at Ben Holladay. This bottle is the sought after "16-Charlie-22" barrel. This barrel they considered one of their original best barrels. Whenever they wanted to showcase what they were doing, this was the barrel they went for to pull samples. In blind tastings, it always stood out. The bottle on the right, is our last unopened bottle of our first barrel pick. It apparently was a "16-Charlie-22" sister barrel that we picked. Distilled the same day, barreled the same day, same rick house and sitting right next to "16-Charlie-22" - that is why our first pick was so amazing. Both ageing on floor 5.
The next 3 pictures, we recently picked out our next Ben Holladay BARRELS! We picked out a traditional Ben Holladay Bourbon and a Soft Red Wheat. Apparently we always pick top floor bourbon!! In a blind tasting of barrels, we picked the 5th floor again on our Bourbon, it is fantastic and over 7 years old. The Soft Red Wheat, we picked a 6th floor barrel!!
We will not see those for about 3 months.

When our new barrels come in, we will for sure do a tasting with "16-Charlie-22", our first single barrel and the two new barrels. Not sure of the details yet, but it has to happen!
