Cedrick Bardin Coteaux du Giennois

Great Loire Red!
Looking for something different, but delicious?
2021 Cedrick Bardin Coteaux du Giennois....$19.99
50% Pinot Noir and 50% Gamay
A little known appellation next to the classic vineyard of Sancerre
Intense nose. A lot of dark fruit on the nose such as black current with a hint of tobacco and spice. On the palate, the texture is very smooth, the tannins are soft and generous. Ripe red fruit flavors start expressing themselves towards the end with a touch of toasty notes

Best served slightly cool, this expressive wine suits many different dishes Asian style salads and bibimbap to pulled pork and roast beef, as well as nutty-cheeses and chocolate cake or brownies.

The Pinot and Gamay grapes do exceptionally well in the eastern part of the Loire region. Although they are usually produced in Burgundy and Beaujolais, the climate of the Loire is particularly well suited for this blend. The wine is made in a classic way with low fermentation temperatures in order to preserve the freshness of the fruit
