New vintages in stock of Black Slate

New vintages in stock!
These always get big scores, no ratings yet on the new vintages though.
2020 Black Slate Gratallops Vi De La Vila Priorat...$19.99
Compare to $22.99 at total Wine and MoreAugust Vicent is not only the proprietor of Celler Cecilio, the oldest registered estate in Priorat (established in 1942), but he happens to be a neighbor of Daphne Glorian and Eric Solomon in the small village of Gratallops. He makes characterful, lush, and exotically-spiced wines from his vineyards in the village and has been persuaded to sell us some for our Black Slate Gratallops. It is a blend of Garnatxa Negra, Carinyena, and Syrah from vines ranging from 20 to 65+ years old. Fermented entirely with indigenous yeasts, it is aged in a combination of concrete and French oak barrels.

2019 Black Slate Porrera Vi de Vila....19.99

Compare to $21.49 at total Wine and More
Garnatxa Negra, Carinyena, Cabernet Sauvignon
Having worked with Joan Sangenís for close to two decades, it was logical to select his estate’s fruit for our Black Slate Porrera. With vineyards in some of the top sites in the village, including the famed Mas d’En Caçador vineyard. The Black Slate Porrera is a blend of 20-30-year-old Garnatxa and Carinyena with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon aged in neutral barrels for 12 months.
