AMAZING PRESS for Marietta Cellars!

IN STOCK NOW!

Marietta helped lay the groundwork for the California Red Blend craze, which is now one of our most popular categories. They were making "Prisoner" style blends long before Orin Swift, Apothic, or Menage a Trois. They must've known they were on to something because they had the foresight to trademark the phrase "Old Vine Red"! The small, family-owned winery now led by Scot Bilbro is utilizing his family's estate vineyards in Geyserville to produce more varietal-specific wines, while still paying homage to his father Chris by creating unique blends with a supporting cast of old-world varietals. For example, the Roman Zinfandel has a touch of Barbara, and Christo, a Syrah-based red, with 4% Viognier to give the wine a Cote-Rotie feel. These wines are the epitome of QPR. Load up on them now, they will not last long!!
