A variety you don't see stand on its own very often, the 2017 Petit Verdot Paraje Altamira is 100% Petit Verdot that spent 15 months in a mix of French and American oak barrels. Its deep purple color is followed by a terrific bouquet of black and blue fruits, asphalt, licorice, leafy herbs, and smoked earth. With good freshness, medium to full body, ripe tannin, and a clean finish, it's a beautiful wine that, I suspect, will keep for upwards of a decade.

Rich, textured, medium to full-bodied, and beautifully layered on the palate, it's a beautiful wine to drink over the coming 7-8 years or more.
