Courage & Conviction Bourbon Cask is an American Single Malt whisky distilled, matured, and bottled on-site at our distillery in Lovingston, Virginia. Aged a minimum of three years, this 100% malted barley whisky is matured in former Bourbon casks sourced from Kentucky, adding depth and complexity.
This whisky showcases its natural color and is not chill filtered. Courage & Conviction Bourbon Cask is bottled in batches to highlight the nuance of each contributing barrel.
On the nose, expect aromas of vanilla, shortbread, and a touch of cedar. The silky body brings flavors of orange oil, toasted coconut, and graham cracker on the palate. The soft finish lingers with cinnamon and mild barrel spice.

Courage & Conviction Cuvée Cask is an American Single Malt whisky distilled, matured, and bottled on-site at our distillery in Lovingston, Virginia. Aged a minimum of three years, this 100% malted barley whisky is matured in specialty Cuvée wine casks.
This whisky showcases its natural color and is not chill filtered. Courage & Conviction Cuvée Cask is bottled in batches to highlight the nuance of each contributing barrel.
On the nose, expect aromas of plum, dark raspberry, rich chocolate torte and clove. The palate brings flavors of tart cherry, blood orange, cocoa, and burnt sugar. The finish has notes of candied walnuts and ginger.

Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask is an American Single Malt whisky distilled, matured, and bottled on-site at our distillery in Lovingston, Virginia. Aged a minimum of three years, this 100% malted barley whisky is matured in former Spanish Sherry casks.
This whisky showcases its natural color and is not chill filtered. Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask is bottled in batches to highlight the nuance of each contributing barrel.
On the nose, you’ll pick up scents of honeycomb, apricot, bright lemon, and sugared almonds. On the palate, a silky mouthfeel melds together flavors of hazelnut, soft leather, and toffee. The finish is a slow fade of soft caramel and baking spice.

VHW Cider Cask Finished Whisky is made from 100% malted barley, marrying American Single Malt whisky made on-site in Virginia with aged Scotch Malt Whisky. The whisky finishes in casks sourced primarily from Virginia cideries such as Potter’s Craft Cider and Buskey Cider for an additional 8 to 20 months.

Virginia Distilling VHW Brewers Batch Whisky ...$55.99

VHW Brewers Batch Whisky is made from 100% malted barley, marrying American Single Malt whisky made on-site in Virginia with aged Scotch Malt Whisky. This whisky features finishing casks from local breweries.
A true collaboration, the partner brewery uses casks from Virginia Distillery Company to age the beer in, and the distillery takes the casks back for use in finishing VHW Brewers Batch Whisky for an additional 8 to 16 months.

The late Dr. George G. Moore had a great passion for single malt whisky and his adopted home in Virginia. A native Irishman, George came to the U.S. in the 1970’s to seek new opportunities. In 2011, after many years of building successful businesses in both the U.S. and Ireland, George finally had the chance to combine his two passions when he started Virginia Distillery Company. Today, George’s wife, Angela Moore and their son, Gareth Moore, along with his wife, Maggie Moore, have taken the helm to continue building George’s dream. “Have the courage of your convictions,” was a saying George often repeated to friends and family.
