2018 Escudo Real Vinho Verde Rose...$8.99
Grapes: Touriga Nacional (60%) and Espadeiro (40%)
Escudo Real ROSE is all about the strawberry and red currants. The amazing pink color gives way to well-balanced flavors in the mouth that do super well with food. At 10.5% alcohol, this fresh fruity, slightly sparkly rose is a sunny-time must. Pink color and lively strawberry and red currant flavor complemented with floral hints reveal the exuberance of the aroma. In the mouth it’s well balanced with good acidity and tart fresh fruit notes, young and crisp. It boasts a smooth, delicate finish.
2018 Bargemone Rose Coteaux d'Aix en Provence...$19.99
40% Grenache, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, 5% Rolle.
Agriculture Biologique
30+ Year Old VinesThe terrific (and fairly priced) 2018 Coteaux d'Aix en Provence Rose stood out among the 139 rosés I tasted blind during my late February trip to Provence. It combines hints of cantaloup with cassis in a medium-bodied, silky-textured wine that shows just a hint of leafiness on the finish. The blend is 40% Grenache, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, and 5% Rolle
Rated 90/100 The Wine Advocate
2018 Chateau Virgile Costières de Nîmes Rose...$11.99
Grenache 80%, Syrah 20%
Technical Notes: The grapes are hand-harvested at night to preserve their freshness, and then 100% de-stemmed before undergoing a short 12-hour maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Beginning in 2009 Serge and Thierry have progressively increased the percentage of Grenache from 60% to 80%. The result is dramatic. Though they have always made elegant, balanced rosés, the wines have become increasingly perfumed and silky.
Tasting Notes: Delicate aromas of wild strawberry and red cherry dominate the nose of this beautiful rosé. The wine is bright pink with a tinge of fuchsia in the glass. The strawberry and cherry notes carry through to the mouth, where they are complemented with hints of red raspberry and refreshing minerality. Château Virgile produces a very versatile rosé, crisp enough to drink on its own, but flavorful enough for a meal
2018 Chateau Lancyre Le Rose Pic Saint Loup...$19.99
50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, 10% Cinsault.
Sustainable Non-CertifiedTasting Notes: A big rosé! Raspberry and pear aromas on the nose, with distinctive spicy, minty garrigue notes. Big, bold and firm on the palate, ending with a long, clean finish.
Serve With: A rosé for year round drinking! Excellent on its own, it is also a great food wine – pair with hearty salads, grilled vegetables, kebabs, stuffed tomatoes or charcuterie.
2018 Boniface Les Rocailles Savoie Rose...$18.99
50% Gamay and 50% Pinot Noir.
20-25 year old vines
Sustainable Non-Certified
A true earthly paradise nestled in the French Alps, Les Rocailles is owned and managed by boyhood friends and native Savoyards Guillaume Durand and Alban Thouroude, who purchased the estate and négociant business from Pierre Boniface upon his retirement in 2006. The wines have never been better at Les Rocailles!
Tasting Notes: This mouth-watering rosé offers delicate strawberry and raspberry aromas on the nose. Light, crisp, and bone-dry on the palate.
Serve With: Enjoyable on its own, and pairs well with a wide range of lighter fare including grilled vegetable panini, charcuterie, summer fruit salad, and more.
2018 Whispering Angel Rose...$21.99
