Taste a Perfect 100 Point Wine!

Please Join us in welcoming Lauren Reches of Michael Skurnik Selections for a tasting of Paul Jaboulet Wines.

As soon as the Jaboulet wines were reintroduced to the market this past February we jumped on the opportunity to work with the line up featuring some of the Rhone Valley's most prestigious wines.
In 1834, a full 100 years before the introduction of the A.O.C. system, Antoine Jaboulet began to transform a sleepy region into one of the most important quality winegrowing terroirs in the world. Since that time, Paul Jaboulet Aîné has become the benchmark in the Northern Rhône, with the iconic Hermitage ‘La Chapelle’ being responsible for some of the greatest wines ever produced.

Wines to be tasted:
2015 Paul Jaboulet Parrell 45 Cotes du Rhone Rouge $12.99
Northern style Côtes du Rhône, with beautiful fresh Syrah character. Notes of wild berries, white pepper, lavender and cherries. This balanced red finishes with incredibly juicy Grenache.

2015 Paul Jaboulet Parrell 45 Cotes du Rhone Blanc $12.99
Light yellow. White peach, melon and a hint of honey on the fragrant nose and in the mouth. Smooth and fleshy; a hint of lemon pith adds back-end lift and a refreshingly bitter edge. Finishes firm and nervy, showing good length and a lingering suggestion of ripe melon
Rated 88/100 Vinous

2015 Paul Jaboulet Syrah Secret de Famille $13.99
Bright and juicy Syrah from limestone laden terraces. Fresh blue and red fruit supported by lively acid and a hint of market spices.

2015 Paul Jaboulet Crozes Hermitage Domaine Thalabert $42.99
The finest vintage to date, better even than the stellar 2010, the 2015 Crozes-Hermitage Domaine De Thalabert is a gorgeous, deep, layered, and incredibly satisfying Crozes. Blackcurrants, olive tapenade, truffles and earthy notes all emerge from this full-bodied, gorgeously textured and seamless 2015. With fine tannin and no hard edges, it can be drunk today or cellaring for 15-20 years.
Rated 97/100 Jeb Dunnuck

2015 Paul Jaboulet Hermitage La Chapelle $299.99
(only 1 bottle available to be poured)
Lastly, and a legendary wine in the making, the 2015 Hermitage La Chapelle is reminiscent of the 1990 with its full-bodied, opulently, sexy, yet concentrated style. Offering sensational notes of blackcurrants, smoked herbs, beef blood, and chocolate, it’s a huge yet elegant wine that has masses of sweet tannin, incredible purity and finesse, and a killer finish. It’s the finest wine from this estate in close to 30 years. Hats off to Caroline Frey and Jacques Desvernois!

2014 Paul Jaboulet Muscat Beaumes de Venise le Chant des Griolles $19.99 / 375ml
Clear golden color with attractive brightness. On the nose, white peach, quince and exotic fruit aromas. Final note of honey and candied fruit. The palate starts out full and fresh, with final warm, rich notes of candied fru
