Château de Lancyre Le Rosé

2017 Château de Lancyre Le Rosé...$18.99
50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, 10% Cinsault

The medium-bodied 2017 Le Rose possesses a richness that belies its pale hue. It's savory and rich, with hints of confection but with more meaty, savory notes and dark berries. The blend is 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 10% Cinsault, done direct-press in all stainless steel.
Rated 90/100 The Wine Advocate

Purchased in 1970 by the Durand and Valentin families, the Château was originally built in the 1500's, on the ruins of a 12th century fort. Records of winemaking date back to 1550! Lancyre is now viewed among the top estates of Pic Saint-Loup, which has justifiably garnered a reputation as the Languedoc’s single best wine district.

Tasting Notes: A big rosé! Raspberry and pear aromas on the nose, with distinctive spicy, minty garrigue notes. Big, bold and firm on the palate, ending with a long, clean finish.
Serve With: A rosé for year round drinking! Excellent on its own, it is also a great food wine – pair with hearty salads, grilled vegetables, kebabs, stuffed tomatoes or charcuterie.
