Michel Goubard Cote Chalonnaise Mont Avril Rouge

2015 Michel Goubard Cote Chalonnaise Mont Avril Rouge...$23.99
Great Bourgogne Rouge from the 2015 vintage
The 2015 Mont-Avril Rouge (Oak Aged) comes from older vines and sees just a small amount in older barrels. Framboise, candied cherries, crushed flowers and forest floor all flow to a medium-bodied, nicely layered, textured beauty that has plenty of density and outstanding finish. It's also beautifully balanced and is going to keep 2-3 years longer than the basic bottling.

"I have had at least 25 years of tasting experience with Domaine Michel Goubard et Fils, one of the first well-made value selections from the Cote Chalonnaise. It continues to make some of the most reliable wines from that region" - Robert Parker on Michel Goubard
