Donjon Rose!
Rose is great with Thanksgiving - yes, it is time to start thinking about your wine choices!
2016 Château du Donjon Rosé....$16.99
40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 30% Cinsault.
The Cinsault vines average 55 years in age, the Grenache 35, and Syrah 20+ years.
Made from 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 30% Cinsault, this Minervois rosé offers layered, complex scents of orange blossom, peony, ginger and red currant. Flavors of peach and taut currant unfold on the medium-weight palate, with refreshing acidity to lend lift to the mouthfeel and brighten the finish.
Rated 90/100 The Wine Enthusiast
Too much info if you like:
Situated in Minervois, one of the oldest wine-producing areas in the Languedoc, Château du Donjon has been in the Panis family for 500 years. Jean Panis took the reins from his father, Guy, in 1996 and has taken the estate to new heights, with the historic 1998 vintage marking the beginning of a golden era that continues to this day.
