2015 Bosquet des Pape Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition....$39.99
Bright ruby-red. High-pitched, spice-accented red fruit aromas are complicated by floral and herb nuances that build with air. Sweet, penetrating raspberry and cherry flavors show very good depth and energy, while licorice pastille and white pepper qualities develop slowly. Rich yet lively in style, finishing with very good focus and gentle tannins that frame the appealingly sweet fruit. This wine is an excellent example of a "basic" Châteauneuf.

Chante Le Merle...$62.99 / 750ml
Chante Le Merle...$129.99  / Magnum
The old vine cuvée is the 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Chante Le Merle Vieilles Vignes and is a non-destemmed blend of 90% Grenache and 5% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre. Aged in foudre and demi-muids, it offers textbook notes of black raspberries, kirsch, garrigue, pepper and leafy herbs, as well as full-bodied richness, ripe, polished tannin and a great finish. I’ve found this cuvée to be a touch rustic in the past, but recent vintages show another level of purity, elegance and finesse.

2015 Bosquet des Pape Chateauneuf du Pape A la Gloire de Mon Gran Pere...$62.99
The blockbuster styled 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape A La Gloire de Mon Grand-Père (98% Grenache and 2% Cinsault) put a smile on my face and offers full-bodied, layered, decadent notes of kirsch, blackberries, dried stones/earth and lavender. It’s a big wine, yet stays balanced, silky and even elegant on the palate, with notable tannic grip. It will keep for 15+ years.

2015 Clos des Papes Chateauneuf du Pape...$102.99 / 750ml
2015 Clos des Papes Chateauneuf du Pape...$209.99 / Magnum
This has a drop-dead gorgeous core of cassis and raspberry pâte de fruit flavors that holds center stage but still allows notes of Lapsang souchong tea, anise, incense and shiso leaf to chime in. Very long, with a sublime feel through the mineral-tinged finish. So seductive already, but this will cruise in the cellar. Drink now through 2040.
