Sebastiani Gravel Bed Red is back!!

After making a huge splash with the 2013 Gravel Bed Red (we sold just over 100 cases in 24 hours) we are very excited to offer Sebastiani's 2014 Gravel Bed Red. The 2014 has not been rated but we think it is at least the equal of the 2013, sadly we have less then half of what we got last year. If you missed the 98 point 2013 Domaine Eden Cabernet earlier in the week don't miss out on the Gravel Bed.
Recognize this bottle from last year?

2014 Sebastiani Gravel Bed Red....$27.99
The 2014 Gravel Bed Red is dark purplish to ruby in color. Its nose is swarming with Cabernet spice, currant, black cherries, coconut wood aromatics and hints of black tea. The flavor is fruit forward with delicious blackberries followed by raspberry, underbrush tones, and dried leaves. The finish has great acidity and tannins which helps reign in the generous fruit afforded by a riper season---winemaker
67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 12% Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot

2014 just arrived, it has not been review yet....
Review of the 2013 --
The 2013 Gravel Bed Proprietary Red is a Bordeaux blend which I assume is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon. It comes from the rockiest sites that Sebastiani owns in Sonoma County. This is a spectacular wine, with blueberry and blackberry fruit, some notes of gravel (as the name suggests), full-bodied opulence, and a multi-layered, almost skyscraper-like mouthfeel, yet it is light on its feet for such great intensity and richness. This is a stunner and another tour de force from winemaker Mark Lyon. This full-bodied classic should drink well for 25-30 years.
Rated 97/100 Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
