Classic Beer of the Week! - Sunner Kolsch

Classic Beer of the Week!
We are featuring a "Classic" beer in our Friday night tasting when we can. So many people may have never had these beers because they are not the "new" or "hot" craft beer anymore. Sunner is the original  Kölsch.  Taste it this Friday at our Forsyth location along with other beers

We thought it would be a great time to feature this beer as the weather is perfect for it and we have a fresh batch with a new label!

The original
Sunner Kölsch
It was Sünner that brewed the first beer in the modern Kölsch style (though it wasn't called that then) around 1900. Sünner is a 'Kölsch' beer, unique to Köln (Cologne) Germany.
Like Champagne (Appellation Controlee) it is protected by laws, so that only beers brewed in that region can bear the name. It is an Ale with a stylish character derived from lagering. It is clear and pale straw in appearance. The taste is refreshing, gently fruity, slightly sweet with a crisp, dry finish.
5.3% ABV
