A new cuvee from Gilles, the 2012 Cotes Catalanes De-La (which translates to "Here and There") is sourced from 25-year-old Syrah vines and the granite soils of Lesquerde and Trevillach (which is right next to Boreal). It offers a gorgeous, Northern Rhône-like bouquet of blackberry, raspberry, violets, mint and liquid rock that flows to a medium to full-bodied, elegant and seamless feel on the palate. Possessing first-rate purity, integrated acidity and ample, polished tannin, it will shine for over a decade.
