Prairie Artisan Ales Ok-Si Imperial Stout aged in Tequila Barrels...$8.99
OK-Sí is a bold imperial stout with big flavors! We start with our thick and chewy imperial stout. The flavors are chocolate, coffee, and sweet caramel. This beer is perfect for aging in barrels. The sweetness from the beer balances out the intensity of the oak and spirit. The tequila barrels impart major notes of oak, citrus, agava, dark fruit, and a touch of vanilla. The combination of these two elements make for a very complex experience.

The label for OK-Sí is a chaotic celebration paying homage to the Healey brothers’ friends in OKC who helped fund their Kickstarter. Chase and Colin are depicted in the center in the form of piñatas surrounded by Día de Muertos-esque skeletons. Here is what Colin has to say about his creation: “I wanted the label to be vibrant, busy, and full of life to reflect the culture that inspired OK-Sí. The colors are reminiscent of the lush flora found around the Yucatan Peninsula where Chase and I have traveled to many times. Other things found in the label are Mariachi instruments, a donkey, soccer ball, an axolotl (Mexican salamander), and a portrait of Santo Toribio Romo Gonzalez, the Patron Saint of Immigrants.”
