Some news from Bell's--they are retiring the Java Stout and the Sparkling Ale because of problems getting some raw materials. I bought what was left at the distributor and we have a small amount left at Rock Hill and our Forsyth locations. Get them now or forget about them.
They plan to bring Hell Hath No Fury out of retirement this year and it will be released in October. They are also planning to release a "Holiday" ale this year. I will keep you posted.

Southern Tier PumKing Ale...$5.99 / 22oz
You know how every year each store wants to beat each other with their holiday decorations. Well, Southern Tier wants to beat every brewery with their Pumpkin Ale. Yes, it is here, PumKing.
“brewed with pagan spirit”
"Pumking is an ode to Púca, a creature of Celtic folklore, who is both feared and respected by those who believe in it. Púca is said to waylay travelers throughout the night, tossing them on its back, and providing them the ride of their lives, from which they return forever changed! Brewed in the spirit of All Hallows Eve, a time of year when spirits can make contact with the physical world and when magic is most potent. Pour Pumking into a goblet and allow it’s alluring spirit to overflow. As spicy aromas present themselves, let its deep copper color entrance you as your journey into this mystical brew has just begun. As the first drops touch your tongue a magical spell will bewitch your taste buds making it difficult to escape. This beer is brewed with pagan spirit yet should be enjoyed responsibly" -- Southern Tier
Bayerischer Bahnhof's
Berliner Style Weisse...$3.99 / 11oz
You do not see too many Berliner Style
Weisse beers in STL.
"History: Huguenots may have originated the style as they traveled through France to Flanders, having first mentioned it in the 1600s. During their time, there were said to be seven hundred weissbier breweries in Berlin. Later, in 1809, Napoleon and his troops identified Berliner Weisse as the Champagne of the North. He requested the beer be served w/syrup to cut its extreme level of acidity. Bayrischer Bahnhof’s interpretation is a slightly softer, more mellow version of the “Berliner Weisse” style with a beautiful balance of tartness, fruitness, and sweetness." -- importer
"It is served in a large goblet with a straw. Due to the sour taste, it is commonly drunk mixed with raspberry (Himbeersirup), lemon (Zitronensirup), or woodruff (Waldmeistersirup) syrup, and is then called Weisse mit Schuss ("Weisse with a shot [of Syrup]") creating Berliner Weisse rot, gelb or grün respectively. This mixed-drink is very refreshing in the hot summer months and is served throughout Berlin." -- wikipedia.com
(we have the raspberry and woodruff syrups in stock at our Forsyth location)
MacQueen's Nessie...$3.79 / 11oz
We were out of stock for awhile, but this great brew just returned to stock!
"MacQueen's Nessie is a medium brew with a lasting, creamy head and golden copper body. Brewed with Scottish Highland malt - the main ingredient in Scottish whiskies - its aroma is a spicy, smoked toffee and verdurous sweetened hay. Light bittering hops provide just enough subtle peppermint-flavored balance to the finish with a small tingle of soured orange honey. The fresh and zesty flavor you'd expect from a light scotch whiskey, but with the smoothness and yeasty flavor of beer. " -- importer
