2023 Brady Vineyard Cabernet Franc Paso Robles

What a stunning deal!!

2023 Brady Vineyard Cabernet Franc Paso Robles...$19.99
Here's a Cabernet Franc from Paso Robles that retains varietal character while showing the region's inherent power. Aromas of oregano, thyme, purple flower, and black plum draw in the nose. The palate shows a slightly bitter herbal bite that offsets the rich plum and violet flavors

2022 Chateau du Petit Thouras Les Georges Chinon Rouge Red

Chinon, the most famous Loire Red

2022 Chateau du Petit Thouras Les Georges Chinon Rouge Red....$22.99
Cabernet Franc

Sébastien named this cuvée in honor of his ancestors, nearly all of whom are named George (in fact, his real first name is George, too). The friendliest of the estate’s three red-wine offerings, “Les Georges” is produced entirely from the free-run juice of the younger vines of Cabernet Franc, and is vinified and aged in steel tank. This cuvée comes primarily from “Les Plantes,” the thirteen hectares of Cabernet Franc immediately behind (to the west of) “Le Clos” which Sébastien’s father planted between 1978 and 1988. Far from a simple gulper, however, “Les Georges” is classic Chinon in its marriage of vibrant fruit, honest tannins, and refreshing earth-mineral interplay.

2023 Le Macchiole Bolgheri Rosso

Could be the best buy from Italy in the store right now!

Le Macchiole can best be defined as the “Boutique Bolgheri.”
The winery is known for its spectacular single varietal wines — Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc which sell for $200-300 per bottle and usually score the 97 point range!

The Bolgheri Rosso is a refined, irresistible blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, serving as an introduction to the estate. The wine is, frankly, almost too good at the price

2023 Le Macchiole Bolgheri Rosso...$39.99
50% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Syrah
Luxurious, rich, a little mysterious with scents hard to articulate even though they're very rare and specific, like ambergris or truffles, walking a line that's so close to things that should provoke disgust but instead excite and allure. Intoxicating.
Rated 97/100 The Wine Enthusiast
Moving to the reds, the 2023 Bolgheri Rosso boasts a youthful medium ruby red color, while the nose is pretty and floral with aromas of dusty earth, mixed berries, fresh herbs, and violets. The palate has a lot of focus and a bright, refreshing spine of acidity, fine tannins, and a clean, lightly mineral-inflected savoriness on the finish. A fantastic entry to the range with a huge potential for value, drink it over the next 8-10 years. It has a lot of precision and focus at this time and will only improve with another 6-12 months in the bottle.

Setti Ponti Oreno

2023 Setti Ponti Oreno Toscana....$99.99
Dark and complex wine, earthy and concentrated yet balanced. Vibrant aromas of cassis, violets, licorice, pencil shavings and graphite. Full-bodied, it displays a dynamic palate with dense, velvety tannins, fruit concentration and crisp, integrated acidity, which keeps it in balance. 45% merlot, 30% cabernet sauvignon, 20% cabernet franc, and 5% petit verdot. Gorgeous now, but even better in two or three years and beyond.
Rated 98/100 James Suckling
This is concentrated with cherry, blackberry, plum, iron, sweet spice and tar flavors. Muscular tannins leave a firm grip on the finish, yet overall, this red feels balanced and crunchy. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2027 through 2040. 1,500 cases imported.

2021 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley

Great price, great score

2021 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley...$69.99 / 750ml
Compare to $72.99 at Total Wine and More (price checked 12/30/25)
The 2021 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley was harvested between 4 September and 8 October. The blend comprises 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot and 1% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. After blending, it was barrel-aged for 24 months in American oak, 50% of which was new, followed by 14 months of bottle ageing prior to release. The wine is beautifully layered and highly fragrant, with remarkable precision and focus in this vintage. Medium- to full-bodied, it integrates the hallmark Silver Oak American spice character through cedarwood aromatics, elegant whispers of vanilla bean, and nuances of fresh fennel (from more refined American oak barrels crafted after precision trials of both seasoning and toasting from the American oak cooperage they own in Higbee, Missouri). Supple dark-cherry and blackberry fruit are framed by graphite minerality, violets and clove, building in richness and complexity across the palate. Suave and silken, the dark-berry fruit is wrapped in a tapestry of velvety tannins, gliding to a focused finish of brown baking spices and crisp, clean acidity.
Rated 96/100 Decanter Magazine
So full-bodied, ripe and robust, offering spicy, iron-like, black fruit aromas, with generous dark cherries on a firmly tannic palate. Concentrated black plum, graphite, black pepper, coffee bean, pine resin and oak toast flavors on a full body. The tannins are powerful and fine-grained, shaping the texture significantly at this stage. Drinkable now, but best from 2030.

Opus One 2022

2022 Opus One Overture Red....$195.99 / 750ml
"2nd label of Opus One"
The first time specific blocks have been used for this wine. Dark forest berry notes on the nose with perfumed elements and notes of milk chocolate. Supple and agile, generous with textured, slightly grainy tannins that are so pleasant - expansive and round in the mouth. It's well built and very approachable with blackcurrant and black cherry flavours on the palate. Concentrated, deep and layered but still with elegance. Extremely characterful. A blend of the 2018 and 2019 vintages with 18 months ageing in French oak barrels. 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend.
Rated 93/100 Decanter

2022 Opus One Overture Red....$489.99 / 750ml
The 2022 Opus One is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Malbec. Winemaker Michael Silacci explained that this vintage marked the earliest pick ever at Opus One, beginning on 5 September. 'I saw a tsunami of heat coming and said we will pick.' Silacci added that the rush to pick reminded him of a line in the song 'Umbrella' by Jay-Z and Rihanna: 'We fly higher than the weather, in G5's or better... in anticipation...' And given the heat dome that settled over Napa Valley, it seemed a wise decision—deep ruby colour with a purple-tawny rim in the glass. The aromas are high-toned with cassis and graphite, and a cinnamon-dusted red berry character nuanced by the woody, spicy aromas of just-cut rose stems balanced by fresh rose petals and dark chocolate. On the palate, it's a creamy wine with a bit more satin or velvet texture than the 2021, and a touch more sweetness in the berry fruit, but balanced by the textural integrity of the tannins. The finish is sweetly floral and tamed by a salty mineral quality that lingers. There's a real brightness to this wine as it opens in the glass.

Sometimes, a great winemaker and a Master Sommelier can create something unique. This selection does not disappoint—opulent aromas of blackberry, cassis, dried thyme, and notes of Tahitian vanilla grace the nose, trembling into rich, mouth-watering dark plum, clove, and silky tannins. — Tonya Pitts

#1 Wine Value of the Year, Wine Enthusiast

2022 Chevalier Delaude Languedoc Rouge...$13.99
Bold, luxurious, and unmistakably southern French, the 2022 Chevalier Delaude Languedoc blend is a masterclass in intensity and elegance. Crafted by Thomas Delaude in the sun-soaked vineyards of Languedoc, this wine melds 60% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 10% old-vine Mourvèdre to deliver a deep inky hue and aroma profile that bursts with black raspberry, black cherry and liquorice. Matured with care, it balances powerful, chewy tannins with fresh herbal and peppery notes — hints of Provence herbs and scorched earth subtly woven throughout. At a striking value, this wine offers the richness of a high-end Rhône blend, a perfect match for roasted meats, hard cheeses, or a centerpiece meal. An impressive vintage meant to be savored now and cellared.

2018 Sidónio De Sousa Bairrada Baga Colheita...$15.99
Aged for 12 months in 100-year old Portuguese oak barrels,
GRAPE:  100% Baga
The wine’s aromatic constellation is excellent, wafting from the glass in a mix of dark berries, cassis, coffee bean, a touch of licorice, grilled venison, dark soil tones, cigar ash and a touch of new leather in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, black fruity and focused, with a fine core of fruit, good soil undertow and grip, still some firm tannins and a long, well balanced and complex, chewy finish. This is not as refined as the Reserva bottling, but it delivers plenty of personality and is a fine value. It will only continue to improve if given further bottle aging. 2025-2050.

2018 Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste Pauillac...$103.99

I love the purity of the 2018 Château Grand-Puy Lacoste, a ripe, upfront, expressive beauty that has loads of currant and cassis notes as well as flowers, spicy wood, graphite, and hints of tobacco. Full-bodied, rich, expansive, and incredibly sexy, it stays fresh and lively on the palate, with ultra-fine tannins.
Rated 96/100 Jeb Dunnuck

Juicy and compact now, with dark currant, blackberry and fig notes at the core, surrounded by lots of warm earth, singed alder and tobacco leaf notes. Cast iron note helps extend the finish, with the fruit and earth notes keeping pace. Has a slight throwback feel, so if you like old school, ageworthy Pauillac, this is your wine. 2018 Chateau Calon Segur St. Estephe...$210.99
Easily the greatest example from this château that I've tasted, the 2018 Château Calon Ségur checks in as 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and the balance Petit Verdot aged 20 months in new French oak. This dense purple-hued beauty boasts a stunning nose of blackcurrants, crème de cassis, tobacco, baking spices, chocolate, and cedarwood. With full-bodied richness, a layered, multi-dimensional texture, gorgeous tannins, and one seriously long finish, it hits that palate with 15% alcohol, yet you wouldn't know it by tasting it, and the wine is perfectly balanced, has incredible purity of fruit, and stays fresh and lively, with a clean finish. This magical Saint-Estèphe can be drunk any time over the coming 20+ years.
Rated 99/100 Jeb Dunnuck
This is a dense, generous wine. Swathes of black fruits are packed with concentrated tannins. Its power is palpable, as is its luxuriously rich future. The wine will take plenty of aging, so don’t drink before 2027. Cellar Selection
Rated 97/100 Wine Enthusiast
The 2018 Calon-Ségur is blended of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot (14.9% alcohol). It is anticipated to age for 20 months in barriques, 100% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it needs just a little coaxing before it reveals seductive notes of baked cherries, warm cassis, licorice and smoked meats with nuances of hoisin, camphor, Chinese five spice and dried roses with a waft of cardamom. Full-bodied and completely packed with concentrated black fruit and spice layers, it has a firm frame of grainy tannins and a wicked backbone of freshness giving an energetic lift to the very long finish. There's lots of brightness coming from the Cabernet Franc component in here, but it is nonetheless a decadent expression.

Another brilliant vintage for this estate, which has been going from strength to strength over the past decade, the 2018 Château Monbousquet reveals a dense purple, opaque color as well as a rich yet lively bouquet of cassis, chocolate covered currants, new leather, and graphite. With sumptuous levels of fruit, full -bodied richness, and ample mid-palate depth, it's the purity of fruit as well as the quality of the tannin's that have brought this cuvée up another notch. Readers are going to love this cuvée, and it should keep for 15-20 years.

2022 Chateau Lynch Bages Pauillac -- Magnum

This is one of those wines that all the press agrees on how good it is!!!

Magnum Bottle
2022 Chateau Lynch Bages Pauillac....$399.99 / 1.5 liter
The 2022 Château Lynch-Bages is based on 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, and 3% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Its inky purple hue is followed by a sensational Pauillac that has a blockbuster (and classic Lynch-Bages) style in its darker currants, smoke tobacco, lead pencil, and crushed stone-driven aromatics. These carry to a full-bodied, powerful, massively concentrated 2022 that has a dense, layered mid-palate, velvety tannins, flawless balance, and a rare mix of power and elegance. This is a château that’s clearly firing on all cylinders, and this magical beauty will need a decade (or more) to hit the early stages of its prime drinking window. Don't miss it!
Rated 99/100 Jeb Dunnuck
There's an iron spine buried in this red, providing a sleek grounding wire for the core of succulent blackberry and black currant preserves. Singed alder, chestnut leaf and ink notes fill in along the way. Ends with authority thanks to the precise, fine-grained finish, which sports a regal mouthfeel. Offers exactly what this vintage is all about -- ripeness and freshness. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2026 through 2050.

Silver Oak 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon has a splash of Petit Verdot added to the mix (0.4%) which was co-fermented with the Cab Sauv., Dry, full-bodied, rich and powerful with dark berry, black currant, pink florals, wild herbs, vanilla, toasty oak spice and crushed stone flavours balanced with brilliant acidity, this vintage is mouth-filling and pretty delicious now. Drink through 2035.
Rated 96/100 Natalie Maclean
Aged in 50% new and 50% second-use American Oak from the Duncan family's The Oak cooperage in Higbee, Missouri. Matt Duncan joined me for my tasting, and he says the Petit Verdot in the blend, of which there is 0.4%, is co-fermented with the Cabernet Sauvignon, intended to bring focus to the Cabernet fruit. A compelling, brooding, muscular rendition of Cabernet from Alexander Valley with gorgeous boysenberry notes, black currants, and rose petals laced with vanillin notes and toasty oak. Medium to full-bodied with black currants, ripe blackberry and black cherry notes framed by velvety tannins laced with that irresistible vanillin note. Toasty oak spices lend a hint of sweetness, balanced by grippy acidity. Long and complex, revealing umami, garrigue, and crushed slatestone on the finish. It's a terrific wine from the Alexander Valley.
Rated 95/100 Decanter Magazine
Handsome and classic for a Sonoma County cabernet, this full-bodied, approachable wine offers abundant aromas of black cherries, toasted oak and tobacco backed by gorgeous black cherries and black olive flavors on moderate tannins. It’s 95% cabernet sauvignon. Best through 2034.

"The 2020 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has captivating notes of cedar and concentrated red fruit character that dance gracefully on the palate. With its ruby hue and smooth, polished tannins, this wine offers a harmonious blend of depth and nuance. Balanced acidity adds a refined touch to the long finish, with vibrant layers of fresh raspberry, cherry and cola. This wine will continue to improve through 2042 given proper cellaring conditions." - winery

2017 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet...$279.99 / 1.5 liter (Magnum)
Was $339.99

This is a big upgrade in finesse and clarity to such a popular, premium cabernet from Napa. It shows lots of blackberry, tar, cedar and oak-tree aromas that follow through to a full yet toned palate of fine, integrated tannins and a vivid finish. Owner David Duncan explained that the American oak they use in the wine for aging now comes 100% from their own barrel-making facilities, which tones down the vanilla character in the wine. Really impressive and delicious. It’s a joy to drink now, but can age. Drink or hold.

2018 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet...$269.98 / 1.5 liter (Magnum)
was $329.99
We are the lowest price on Wine-Searcher
This structured and concentrated wine is spot on for the vintage. It’s very dense in color and aroma, saturated with ultra dark chocolate, graphite and blueberries on a firm texture of taut tannins that will need time to evolve. Aged in 85 to 90 percent new American oak barrels, the wine should be approachable by 2028 and best from 2033.
Rated 97/100 James Suckling
The lovely ruby red colour is translucent, revealing a heady wine of blackberry, liquorice, vanillin, spicebush, and dried floral notes with savoury, toasty oak spices. This 2018 offers one of the more restrained and pretty bouquets of Silver Oak's Napa Cabernet in my memory. Very elegant on the entry, revealing a medium-bodied red wine with lovely cranberry fruit, plums, and currants, with a real depth to those fruit qualities framed by sculpted tannins that affix themselves onto the palate before giving way and resolving. Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant with trace amounts of Petit Verdot and Malbec. Aged in 85% new American Oak from The Oak Cooperage in Higbee, Missouri, the Duncans have owned it outright since 2015. The other 15% are second-use American oak barrels. They've been using the same cooperage for decades. The barrels imbue the Silver Oak wines with a classic vanillin quality, a nuance they always want to retain, even as they experiment with various toasts to produce smoother tannins in the toasting process.

Produced by the Duncan Family, Silver Oak 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep ruby in the glass and fragrant with fresh red cherry, black raspberry, leafy, fine herb, dried tobacco leaf and cedar brush notes with well-integrated toasty oak spice on the palate. Enjoy it now through 2038.
Rated 97/100 Natalie Maclean
The 2019 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet shows a deep, ruby colour. It is a beautifully compact wine that delivers complex and nuanced aromas of Bing cherry and black raspberry with tobacco, currant leaf, and cedarwood laced with dried sage. Focused and linear on the medium to full-bodied palate, showing expressive dark berry character and exotic oak spices with a firm backbone of fine-grained structured tannins. Cool raspberry, cherry, and blackberry fruit are perfectly represented, and the lengthy finish is crisp, lively, and energetic. No doubt, this is one to cellar.
Rated 96/100 Decanter
So elegant, supple and silky, this vintage is a dream to drink now, but should also have plenty of life ahead of it. Aromas of blueberries and dark chocolate meld with luxe black fruit, mint and cocoa on the palate. A blend of 77% cabernet sauvignon, 18% merlot and dashes of cabernet franc and petit verdot. Drink or hold through at least 2030.

Marrietta "OVR" line

Marietta OVR Old Vine Red Lot 75....$14.99
Indeed the 75th iteration of this wine, the NV OVR Old Vine Red Lot 75 has been made since the 1980s, for most of those years by founder Chris Bilbro. Son Scot now continues the tradition, blending a mix of primarily Zinfandel, Syrah, and Petite Sirah with smaller amounts of Barbera, Grenache, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot with the goal of being delicious. It certainly is, offering one of the greatest values in California wine from a family producer, supple, reliable, and approachable, with full-bodied fruitiness that’s balanced and has lasting tannin structure to keep it interesting for another 10 years.

2023 Field Recordings Fiction Red...$21.99
Daybreak, I load the van and set out. The path quickly changes from highway to frontage road, to side road, to no road. Addresses begin to dwindle, the buildings become fields, but I’m not looking at the road. Eyes wide open for the thick lines of vines rolling through any river basin or over any outcropping along the horizon. I must continue every day. These lines will come together to create the next vintage tale.

TASTING NOTES
Fresh blueberries, hint of black pepper, cinnamon and cardamom. Tart black cherries and licorice on the palate, with a smooth and refreshing finish.

VARIETALS
23% Zinfandel, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 16% Syrah, 8% Alicante Bouschet, 5% Lagrein, 5% Corvina, and 4% Cinsaut

2023 Field Recordings Franc...$21.99/750ml
Franc is the perfect example of what we do best at Field Recordings: rustic yet refreshing table wines that please your entire dinner party. We hope this wine brings you back to fond memories of traveling abroad and sharing an epic meal with new friends.

Our 100% Cabernet Franc comes from low lying, sandy river bottom vineyards in Paso Robles. Fermented with the clusters intact to bring out more fruit and spice in the final wine. Aged entirely in our large 1,200-gallon American oak casks to soften the edges and maintain freshness. A Field Recordings classic for over 10 years.

TASTING NOTES
A rustic punch of blueberries, black cherries and red currants with a touch of mint and rosemary. Drink with friends after putting in a "hard day's work."

Field Recordings Salad Days...$17.99/750ml
Salad Days Pet Nat is an insanely crushable blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc & Colombard. Why Salad Days? Short answer, because it's flavors are green & fresh. Long answer, at just 9.9% abv, some days, you just need a salad after a weekend of pork stuff, potatoes, pizza & Petite Sirah (or is that just me?). Salad Days is super bright & fresh - on the nose it's all about crisp pear, green apple, lemon & green herbs - the palate is light & refreshing with a soft kiss of Pet Nat bubbles. As a point of reference, if you enjoy bright white wines with lively acidity & some verve, and you trust us - you are going to love this. It's the perfect breakfast, brunch, lunch, aperitif wine.

2024 Field Recordings Skins...$22.99/750ml
A crisp orange wine perfect to pair with spicy foods, springtime and ... well, anything. It will make you a believer in non-red wines. We use a mix of white grapes from different vineyards that we destem and ferment on skins, resulting in a beautiful showcase of all the delicate flavors of white wine, but with more substance and texture.

TASTING NOTES
Fresh apricot, white peach, Haitian orange, honeysuckle, marzipan

2022 Lewis Napa Chardonnay $62.99

Flavorful and fruity with white peaches, mangoes, honeysuckle, toffee and pralines. Creamy and textural with a medium to full body and rich core of fruit. Long finish. Generous and tropical.

2021 Lewis Mason's Cabernet Sauvignon $79.99
94 pts Jeb Dunnick
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Mason's Cabernet is a smoking value offering a big, rich, mouthful of ripe black fruit as well as full-bodied richness, ripe, velvety tannins, no hard edges, and classic Cabernet tobacco, spice, and chocolate nuances.

2022 Lewis The Big Blend $76.99
93 pts Jeb Dunnick
Based on 48% Syrah, 21% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Petite Sirah, the 2022 The Big Blend offers darker berries, pepper, meat, violets, and hints of iron and sage. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's nicely textured and balanced, with ripe tannins. Aged 19 months in French and American oak, drink it over the next 5-7 years.

2021 Lewis Napa Cabernet Sauvignon...$117.99
Lewis's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is dark hued and seemingly impenetrable to light. Black cherries and plums mark the nose of this full-bodied wine. It's rich, thick, even almost a touch oily, supple and super ripe yet not raisined and tinged with mocha and dark chocolate on the lingering, velvety finish. It's a statement-making style that some will likely detest, while others will adore.

2021 Chateau Fontana Bordeaux Rouge...$15.99
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot
Fontana’s old-vine Merlot (almost 40 years old!) are thriving where others are struggling and exquisitely expressing their character, blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc flesh out into a champion bottle with violet aromas and a rich palate ripe red and blueberries, spice, and earth. Deep and dark red color. On the nose, the Merlot brings nice small red berry flavors while the Cabernet Sauvignon offers a hint of spice and herbs. Slight toasted notes of the nose are confirmed on the palate with nice rounded tannins. This is a full bodied wine with plenty of freshness and a long finish.
Pair this with any red meat, nice steak wine! This is a classic, well-made right bank style Bordeaux.
