2018 Bargemone Rose Coteaux d'Aix en Provence

"This year, confronted with a surprising number of characterless and flavorless wines....The goal seems to be to make as much money as possible, by turning out as much insipid, watery plonk as possible. The producers seem to have created a virtue out of a lack of character." -- The Wine Advocate on the 2018 Rose wines of Provence.

Bargemone stood above the crowd!

"The terrific (and fairly priced) 2018 Bargemone Coteaux d'Aix en Provence Rose stood out among the 139 rosés I tasted blind during my late February trip to Provence." - The Wine Advocate

The terrific (and fairly priced) 2018 Coteaux d'Aix en Provence Rose stood out among the 139 rosés I tasted blind during my late February trip to Provence. It combines hints of cantaloup with cassis in a medium-bodied, silky-textured wine that shows just a hint of leafiness on the finish. The blend is 40% Grenache, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, and 5% Rolle
Rated 90/100 The Wine Advocate

The 2018 Coteaux D'Aix En Provence Rosé is also terrific. Based on Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cinsault, and Vermin, it has clean, crisp notes of white peach, salty minerality, and white flowers as well as a medium-bodied, balanced, chiseled style on the palate. It’s another smoking good wine from this estate.
