Pence Ranch Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills

We spend a lot of time promoting and talking about “Great Summer White Wines” but let's face it we don't stop drinking Red Wine just because it is hot outside. Here are a couple of our favorite summer Red's, just pop them in the fridge for 30 minutes before opening and enjoy! Oh yeah they have great press as well.
2016 Pence Ranch Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills....$19.99
The excellent 2016 Pinot Noir Estate offers up a sapid bouquet of sweet spices, smoke, wild plum and rich soil. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied with rich tannins, a succulent core of juicy fruit, nice concentration and depth. This is a characterful, complex Pinot Noir with plenty of substance to enjoy over the next decade.

2016 Paolo Scavino Langhe Nebbiolo...$19.98
The bouquet is focused and bright with lots of wild berry fruit. Soft tannins appear on the close. This wine could have been sold as Barolo (it represents a selection of fruit from parcels in La Morra), but the family decided to declassify it and sell it at a lower price point instead.
