Fathers Day Weekend.
It's that time of year again, time to celebrate all the Dad's out there. So fire up the grill, season those steaks, and for goodness sake let Dad finish watching the US Open. Nothing says “We Love You Dad” like a great bottle Red Wine. We have an amazing selection from around the world.   Remember how much dad spent on your food, vacations, diapers, education.....

The 2013s are the pinnacle of what Vérité has produced, and probably all wines that will be better at age 25 or 35 than they are showing today, but they are simply the essence of a vineyard site, a vine and a philosophy of no compromise. -Robert Parker The Wine Advocate

2013 Verite La Desir....$349.99
The 2013 Le Desir represents 2,500 cases. This is the softest of the three wines in 2013, and this blend of 61% Cabernet Franc, 23% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec emerges with more than half of the cuvée coming from Hillsides in Alexander Valley, 37% from Chalk Hill and the rest tiny dollops from Bennett Valley and Knights Valley. Opaque purple, like its siblings, the wine is showing incredible floral, blueberry and espresso notes, exotic Asian spices, velvety texture, a supple, multilayered mouthfeel and incredible finish, with incense and licorice. This is magnificent young wine, with a good 40-50 years of upside potential. Pierre Seillan is justifiably proud of what he has achieved, and his first vintage of Vérité was only 1998, but they go from strength to strength.
Rated 99/100 Robert Parker

2013 Verite La Muse...$349.99
The 2013 La Muse, like all of the 2013s, comes about one-third from Alexander Valley vineyards, 40-plus percent from Chalk Hill, and the rest Knights Valley and Bennett Valley – all high-elevation hillside vineyards. A blend of 89% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec at 14.3% alcohol, the wine is amazingly like a great vintage of Petrus, with mulberry, black cherry, licorice, truffle and unctuous, thick, juicy fruit all present in this full-bodied masterpiece. The tannins are still present. The wine has purity and savory presence and is remarkable. The finish goes on for well past a minute. This wine would probably benefit from 5-8 years of bottle age and last 40-50 years.
Rated 100/100 Robert Parker

2014 Lewis Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon $165.99
A mix of harmony, finesse, seductive oak and rich fruit adds up to a delightful mouthful of Cabernet, from the initial aromas of creamy, mocha-scented oak to the structured currant, blackberry and licorice flavors. Ends with a return to the oak theme. Drink now through 2030.
Rated 95/100 The Wine Spectator

2014 Shafer One Poin Five Cabernet...$84.99
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five offers up scents of lavender, cloves, menthol, licorice, spice and graphite. Savory, delineated and tightly wound, the 2014 is a picture perfect example of the vintage. Winemaker Elias Fernandez adds that the drought was more severe in 2014 than it was in 2013. This is another strong showing from Shafer.

2014 Continuum Red...$209.99
"Fabulous aromas of blueberries, blackcurrants, sage and mint. Lead pencil and graphite, too. Full body and ultra-fine tannins that are slowly transformed to ripe and beautiful fruit. Super polished and textured. Great finish. Drink in 2022, but it's hard not to drink now. This harkens back to the great Mondavi reserves of the 1970s in texture and construction.
Rated 99/100 James Suckling

2014 Meo Camuzet Vosnee Romanee Les Chaumes....$146.99

Black currant and blackberry aromas and flavors are complemented by licorice, smoke and spice in this taut red. Sports density and concentration, yet manages to stay elegant and lively on the long aftertaste. Best from 2020 through 2038. 818 cases made.
Rated 95/100 The Wine Spectator

2008 Massolino Barolo Rionda Riserva....$133.99
From one of the most hallowed vineyard sites in Barolo, this structured, compelling wine opens with aromas of ripe black cherry, leather, anisette, cooking spices and balsamic notes. The vibrant palate weaves together dark cherry, black raspberry, licorice, mint and black pepper alongside brooding, bracing tannins. It's already impressive but will continue to evolve for decades. Drink 2018–2033.
