Hermitage new releases

Hermitage Brewing Ale of the Hermit IPA....$4.99 pint
Ale of the Hermit is a curious brew shrouded in mystery. Based on an ancient recipe, and using brewing methods long forgotten by most modern brewers, the Hermit defies simple style classification. The beer greets your palate with a solid malt body of sweet caramel, balanced by an assertive hop bitterness. We then round out the flavor using traditional American hop varieties that contribute a beautiful quality of wild flowers and delicate fruit. Those delicious hop flavors mingle on the tongue with the vanilla and tannic nuances of American oak. The beer finishes dry, but the deliciousness of the hops and oak linger a bit leaving you longing for another sip.

Hermitage Single Hop Apollo...$5.99 / 22oz
Apollo hops are known for their high alpha acid content, between 15% – 19%, and are typically used for its bittering qualities. This hop varietal was developed at the Hopsteiner Breeding Program from 2 experimental varietals; the new hop was further crossed with Zeus hops, and Apollo was born.
Apollo has a resinous hop flavor, with citrus notes, some earthy qualities, and a spiciness that may be apparent in the finish. The aroma features some orange and grapefruit citrus qualities with an earthy and slight spice note.

Hermitage Single Hop Simcoe...$5.99 / 22oz
Simcoe is the latest addition to our single-hop series of india pale ales. The aroma of the hops themselves is a lovely combination of pungent earthiness and sweet fruit. That tropical fruit aroma persists into the glass, while the flavor that carries over to the finished beer has a solid bitterness with a nice piney undertone, dominated by a robust citrus, grapefruit-like quality. The beer finishes dry, leaving a clean, almost minty aftertaste on the palate. Another delicious example of what hops can contribute to the art of beer.
